Andhra Tomato curry

Very tasty with piping hot rice

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • ¼ kg Red ripe tomatoes
  • 1 medium size onion  ( finely Chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 10 green chillies, slit
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 pinch turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp oil

Directions

  1. Heat oil and add chopped onions, slit green chillies, turmeric powder .
  2. Fry them till onion become soft.
  3. Now add tomatoes and cook them for 5 mins on low flame.
  4. now add salt and cook them for 15 mins on low flame with occasional stirring.
  5. add chilli powder and fry for 1 min.
  6. Now add water and cook for 5 mins on high flame.
  7. serve hot with piping hot rice or chappattis.
