Arbi ke patto ki sabzi

Taro leaves curry

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 8-10 Arbi patta (taro leaves)
    • 4 tbsp Besan
    • Saunf
    • Lal mirch
    • Salt, to taste
    • oil
    • ½ tsp Lemon juice
    • a pinch of Hing (asafoetida)
    • Jeera (cumin seeds)
    • 2-3 Green chilles
    • 1 Onion
    • Coriander leaves (for garnishing )
    • 2-3 cloves Garlic

    Directions

    1. Finely chop onions, coriander leaves
    2. Make paste of green chillies,garlic 
    3. Mix besan in a bowl with water (so that it becomes a loose paste ). Add ½ tbsp salt , ½ tbsp red chilly powder, saunf, ½ tbsp of chilly paste and mix well
    4. Now clean the Arbi leaves , remove the middle part of leave if the stem is too hard 
    5. Spread  the above paste on the leaves , and make a role of it 
    6. Steam the rolls for 15 -20 mins 
    7. Allow them to cool
    8. Cut the rolls similar to as we cut spring rolls 
    9. Put oil in a frying pan , add hing , zeera 
    10. Now add onions, ½ tbsp chilly paste , salt according to taste. Stir till onions become golden brown , add rolls and add 1 tbsp lemon juice 
    11. Keep on flame for 2 mins with constant stirring, while being careful to not break the rolls 
    12. Garnish with coriander leaves , serve hot
