Spicy Cauliflower

This recipe goes well with chapati or rice and is good for people who do not eat onions or garlic.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • 1 no. Cauliflower, cut into large florets
  • 1 piece Ginger, small, chopped
  • 2 nos. Tomato, large, chopped
  • 4 nos. Green Chilies, slit
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp All spice powder
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera.
  2. When the jeera becomes brown add the green chillies, ginger and tomatoes. Saute till the tomato is cooked.
  3. Add the cauliflower florets, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and mix well.
  4. Add some water and cook till the florets are soft.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati or rice.

it is a very tasty dish. i and my husband had it with chappatis. put some lime juice over it. it tastes more good.

You can add ajwain in the masala. It adds to the flavor. It is commonly used in Dhaba recipes.

it's better if u cook gobhi in its juices. Adding water destroy the real taste. Cook it in low heat...
