Thakkali (tomato) chutney is very famous south indian chutney done in many ways. This is the way which i make it...

  • 1/4 tsp chana dal
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper seeds

  1. Peel the onions and cut into pieces.
  2. Cut the tomatoes into big pieces.Remove its seeds while cutting it.
  3. In a cooking vessel , add chopped tomatoes , onions , turmeric powder , chilli powder , salt and enough water and boil it for around 5 to 10 minutes. Don't keep it watery. The water should have got absorbed fully.
