Fried apple rings.

Quick and easy snack can be served any time of the day.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 green apples core removed and cut into 1/4 inch circles.
    • 4 tbsp flour
    • 2 tbsp rice flour
    • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla
    • enough water to make thick batter*
    •  2 tbsp Maple syrup
    • 1 tsp cinnamon  mixed with 3 tbsp powdered sugar
    • Oil for deep frying

    Directions

    1. In a bowl combine flour, rice flour, sugar, B powder, vanilla and water and make a thick batter.
    2. In a wok heat the oil.
    3. Dip apple rings in batter and fry 3-4 at a time until nice and golden.
    4. Dry in an absorbent paper then set in a serving plate.
    5. Drizzle with maple syrup, cinnamon and sugar powder.
    6. Serve hot.
