Whenever I prepare this dish, this will be finished in mins(Watch over the dish till the Lunch is served). So tasty is this dish that it can be taken alone or with rice and sambar or curd rice or coconut rice or with Indian breads.Try this at home.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm mutton pieces -cut into bite sized pieces
  • 100 gm sambar onions- peeled and cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala or curry masala powder
  • few curry and coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp salt-to taste
  • 1 tbsp refined oil
  • 200ml water
  • 3 tbsp grated coconut(optional)

Directions

  1. Clean the mutton pieces and pressure cook them upto 5 whistles or till steam stops coming out of the pressure pan.
  2. Leave it for 10 mins till the pressure is released.Mix the mutton pieces with chilli powder, garam or curry masala powder, curry and coriander leaves, salt and onion slices. Mix this well. No need for marination.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add the mutton pieces along with spices and onion.Saute this for 4-5 mins.
  4. Serve this hot with rice and sambar or curd rice or coconut rice.
Note:If u happen to find this dish with extra chilli, add 3 tbsp grated coconut and saute this for a min before serving.
