Mutton in vinegar masala

Recipe by Khuserv of Jeddah, SA

I just learned this from my sister few days back, even though I am not very fond of spicy food I just loved her mutton.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 1/2 kg mutton cut into small cubes.
    • 2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 2 tsp garlic/ ginger paste.
    • 1 tsp crushed red chili
    • 2 tsp crushed coriander seeds.

    Directions

    1. In a pot combine oil, mutton, chili powder, ginger/garlic paste and vinegar.
    2. Cook over low flame until mutton is tender.
    3. Dry roast the crushed chili and coriander.
    4. 10 min before taking the meat off fire add the roasted spices to the meat.
    5. Keep tossing and  frying(Bhonna) meat and allow the oil to float on top after 10 min.
    6. Remove from heat and serve with Onion soaked in some vinegar & roti.
