Moong dal vada

Two time fry first pinkish fry again fry so dark golden colour appear.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

  • 300 gm moong dal (green gram)
  • 6 green chillies chopped
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsps coriander powder
  • 2 tbsps red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeic powder
  • salt as to taste
  • 1/2 tsp soda bi carb
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions

  1. First  Soak moong dal for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. After wash dal properly and remove the skin of moong dal.
  3. grind dal. dont over crushed.make coarse paste without adding water.
  4. add all spices,salt, ginger garlic paste, green chillies chopped and onion chopprd.
  5. add chopped coriander leaves and sugar mix properlly make thick consistoncy of batter.in batter add soda + heat oil(2 tbsp) mix well.
  6. heat oil fry the vada. and remove in plate.then press these vada and fry again in high flame
  7. serve with tomato sause.

no it is not recipe of rice but serve with rice. Rajma is one type of sprout. so called rajma chawal is very popular.

Hi! salma i also write green gram in ingridients means use green moong dal ya u also try with both moong dal but u soak and grind both dal separatly. u like rajma my recipe of rajma masala is also published in this site u also try this ok. i hope u like it. and comments me. so see my recipe of rajma masala.

what u mean by moong daal yellow one or green one? or can we make vada from both lentils, plz reply me i have to try this recipe and can u send the rcipe of raajma i hear that name many times of indian programms but dont know how 2 make it just know it is the recipe of rice.

fry the same vada in the shape of koftas. add onion-tomato gravy to make a nice main dish.good luck!
