Fasting is one favourite "activity" of many Indian so here the Kheer for all fasting lover & to all also who like sweets.
Ingredients
vegetarian 2 servings
1 cup sabudana(sago/Tapoica)
5 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
few nuts(cashew,almond)
1 tsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Few raisins
Directions
Soak the sabudana in water for 15 minutes if it is small in size, otherwise for big sized sabudana soak it 5-6 hours or overnight.(sabudana comes in 2 sizes, small one which soak within 10-15 min & big one takes more than 5 hours)
Heat a pan with a ghee, add raisins & all nuts.shallow fry them in ghee.
Pour the milk & let it boil for 10-15 min .
Now add soaked sabudana in it & let it cook till it can be easily pressed between fingers.
Now add sugar and mix well till the sugar dissolves completely.
Add cardamom powder, mix it & serve it hot
This kheer is quite thick if want thin then add 1 cup milk to make it thin & then serve.
TIP:-The kheer with big sabudana tastes better than the kheer with small ones.
