Instant Dosa

Chat pat dosa with rice flour and maida. Tastes very good even without any chutney

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup Rice flour
    • 1 cup Maida
    • ½ cup Buttermilk
    • Chopped green chillies
    • Chopped ginger
    • Cumin
    • Salt as per taste
    • Oil for shallow frying

    Directions

    1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.mix adding water gradually.
    2. See that the consistency is thicker than rava dosa.
    3. Take care not to add more buttermilk than mentioned because the dosas don’t come out properly if it is more
    4. Now heat the dosa pan and pour the mix like rava dosa.
    5. Add oil all around it
    6. Roast on medium heat till golden and crispy on both the sides
    7. Serve hot with idly karam powder

    buttermilk is beaten curds..we use it here for the slight sour taste

    thank you nancy the bater doesn't need any fermentation,it is instant.

    Thanks Lakshmi for ur recipe. But my question is, do the batter needs fermentation ? if yes, for how long?
