good steamed breakfast out of oats. good for cholesterol patients
vegetarian 1 servings
1 cup oats
1/2 cup low fat curd or any curd
salt to taste
1 tsp split chana dal
1 tbsp split chana dal
1 tsp urud dal
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
½ tsp mustard.
First coarsely powder the oat (not too fine) then add salt.
Add water and make it into a dough in such a consistency like idli batter.
Add chopped coriander leaves
if you wish, heat 1 tsp oil and add the dals and mustard when it splitters and it to the mix
Now put it into the idli molds and steam as we do for idli
if u don't have idly vessel, just keep a broad sauce pan or vessel put water to 1/2 inch height allow the water and use it as idly vessel.In small cups, pour the batter to 1/3 of the cup. Keep the cups inside the boiling water in the vessel and cover it tightly with a lid stem for 7 to 10 mints in medium flame
