Red Beans Rolls

Very nutritious and easy to cook. Kids love it.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 8 thin rotis(made of wheat flour)
    • 1 1/2 cups red beans(either fresh or dry).
    • Salt
    • 2 finely chopped onions
    • 3 finely chopped green chillies
    • 1 tsp green chilly paste
    • 8 tbsps cooking cheese
    • 1 1/2 tsps dhania, jeera powder
    • 2 tbsps corriander leaves.
    • 1 tomato.
    • 1 tsp oil

    Directions

    1. Wash beans and boil them with little salt (if you  are using dry beans then soak them overnight)until soft.
    2. Peel tomato and grind it with boiled beans to a semi smooth paste (it should be thick).
    3. Heat oil in a pan ,add 1 tbsp of onion,saute till pink,add green chilly paste,bean paste,dhania jeera powder and corriander leaves,mix well and cook for 2 mins.(check salt)
    4. Take one roti,place 2 tbsps of paste, spread it lenghtwise, sprinkle chopped onions, chopped chillies (you can omit chillies for kids) and 1 tbsp cheese.(you can add more cheese if you want to)
    5. Place roti under a hot grill or microwave for the cheese to melt.
    6. Remove from the grill and roll it tightly, finish rest of rotis same way.
    7. Serve hot.
