Cabbage and Peas

A 3 in one dish which can be used as side dish or brekafast sandwich or turned into snack with Burritos.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 chopped Cabbage/Bandh gobhi
    • 2 cups Peas/Mattar
    • 1 tsp Haldi/Turmeric Powder
    • 1 tsp Red chili powders
    • 1 tsp. minced /finely chopped ginger and green chilies
    • 1 tsp Cumin seeds/zeera
    • Salt to Taste
    • Oil for cooking

    Directions

    1. Add Oil in non stick pan and add Cumin seeds.
    2. When Cumin seeds splutter add ginger and green chilies.
    3. Then when ginger turns light pink add peas and stir for 2 minutes.
    4. When peas turn little brown add Salt and Dry masala.
    5. After that add Cabbage and stir and let it cook for 15-20 minutes on low heat.
    6. Serve hot with Roti or Parantha’s or make a stuffed sandwich for breakfast or turn into evening snack filled in Burritos (Children favorite).

    its sounds delicious .i think if we add diced carrots with peas it will be more delicious and nutritious too.i will try this receipe and with diced carrots also .
