Besan Khichadi

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 bowl Rice, soaked in water
    • 50 gms Besan
    • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
    • 1 Onion Sliced
    • 1 Potato (Diced)
    • 100 gms Green Peas
    • 100 gms Cauliflower
    • 4 Green Chillies Chopped
    • 3 tsp Tamarind Paste
    • 2  tbsp Oil
    • 1 tsp Red Chill powder
    • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
    • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
    • Pinch Of Asafoetida
    • 4-5 Cuury Leaves
    • Green Coriander for Garnishing
    • 3 Bowls water

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a Pressure Cooker, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and mustard seeds, saute for a while
    2. now add onion and ginger garlic paste saute for a while now add ginger garlic paste.
    3. Add all vegetables and chillies fried for 2 mins.
    4. Now add Turmeric and red chilli pdr mix well, now add soaked rice, tamarind paste and water, cover with lid and cook for 1 Whistles.
    5. Serve hot Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
