Tomato Kurma

Spice,simple and taste tomato kurma for Tomato lovers.


  • 1/2 kg tomato (If possible please choose tomato which is citric in taste)
  • 2 nos onion
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 small piece ginger
  • 7-8 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp dania seed
  • 1/2 tsp sanuf
  • 1/2 bunch hara dania leaves
  • 2 tsp chilly powder
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Cut onion in lengthy shape.
  2. Cut tomato in small pieces
  3. Except tomato and onion please put all the ingredients in the mixe and grind it to fine paste with little water.
  4. Take a kadai add 2 teaspoon oil fry onion is low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Put the paste in the kadai and fry it for 5-6 minutes in low flame.
  6. When raw smell of ginger garlic disappears add tomatoes in the kadai add little water.
  7. when tomato is fully boiled please smash it and serve hot to chapathi,dosa.

i think its a simple yet gud recipe.....i remember my mother preparing it in a more simpler way ven v needed a change from the routine food......
