This one is a lot more easier than traditional palak paneer and takes less time. its spicy n nice. try it learned from mom.

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 2 bundles of palak
    • 2 tomatoes blend to paste
    • 2 tspn ginger garlic paste along with 2 cloves n 1 inch cinnamon
    • 1tspn red chilly powder
    • 2 tspn dhaniya powder
    • 2 small onions finely chopped
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tbspns oil

    Directions

    1. First clean the palak and chop it well.
    2. Heat oil add chopped onions , when golden brown add ginger garlic paste .
    3. When ginger garlic paste starts to stick to bottom add tomato puree.
    4. saute for a while and then add some salt.Let cook for a while
    5. Add red chilly powder , dhaniya powder. saute for two min.
    6. now add palak . let cook for ten min .
    7. Cover and cook.
    8. its done!
    For added spiciness u can add garam masala. its optional

    Before adding the chopped onions to the oil, add a pinch of hing and some jeera seeds.

    hi meghna, this recipe of palak is more healthier than the one in which palak is boiled & puried. palak retains its nutrients & color if added in end & cooked for less time..
