Dahi Mirchi

delicious spicy chat

Goes well any time with any type of Indian lunch menu

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1/2 kg Curd
    • 1/2 cup boondi
    • 5-6 long green chillies (ones that are used in pakoras)
    • 3 tbsp besan
    • 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
    • 1 small pich of baking soda
    • 1 small boiled potato
    • green chutney (same as the one used in chats)
    • tamarind chutney
    • 1 tsp chat masala
    • coriander leaves for garnishing
    • salt to taste
    • 1/4 tsp of sugar
    • 1 tsp dry mango powder
    • oil for deep frying

    Directions

    1. Soak the boondi in water for 5 min
    2. Mix dry mango powder and salt to taste
    3. Wash green chillies and make a vertical slit into it and stuff with dry mango powder and salt mix
    4. take besan in bowl .Put salt and baking soda and red chilly powder Mix and add water. Besan mix thick enough to make mirchi pakoras
    5. Heat oil in a pan. Dip green chilly in besan and fry. In short make mirchi pakoras
    6. Now keep mirchi pakoras aside
    7. Beat the curd by adding salt,sugar and little water
    8. Squeeze water from boondi and add to curd
    9. Add small thin triangular pieces cut boiled potatoes to it. Mix well with curd
    10. Cut mirchi pakora into 2-3 small pieces and add to curd
    11. Now sprinkle chat masala, red chilly powder(optional) green chutney and tamarind chutney,coriander leaves over it
    12. Keep it in fridge for 1 hr
    13. Remove and its ready to eat.
