Crispy Pakodi

Ribbon shaped besan pakodi

Home made alternative for packed crispies

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • 2 cups Besan or gram flour
    • 1 tbsp Ajwain (hand pounded)
    • 1 tbsp Red chilly powder
    • 1 tbsp Salt
    • Soda bi carb- a pinch
    • Oil –for deep-frying

    Directions

    • Heat oil in a kadai
    • Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl with sufficient water.
    • The batter should be like that of roti atta
    • Adjust the seasoning
    • Place a handful in chakli maker with = hole and press directly into hot oil.
    • Fry till light brown. Remove from fire, cool and store in airtight container.
    NOTE:
    Try pressing on a plate first and when perfect then proceed
