Crispy Spicy Puris

Fried bread

Great for tea parties. Use as appetizer

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings


    • 2 cups white flour
    • 4 tbsps corriander leaves
    • 4 tsps jeera
    • 2 tsps ajwain (carom seeds)
    • Salt
    • 4 green chillies
    • Oil for deep frying
    • 2 1/2 tbsps oil for the dough
    • 3 tsps sesame seeds

    Directions

    1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add jeera, ajwain, chillies and sesame seeds, roast a bit.
    2. Remove from fire and pound this with corriander leaves to fine paste or semi coarse paste.
    3. Take flour in bowl ,add this paste,oil and salt. Knead with water to semi soft dough.
    4. Roll into small puris or roll in big rotis and then cut with round cutter,make several incisions on each puri to avoid puffing.
    5. Heat oil and deep fry few at a time on medium heat until crisp.
    6. Leave them to cool ,and store in a tight container.
    7. VARIATIONS; You can  put 1/4 cup of gram flour to 1 3/4 cups of white flour.

    good receipe but if u put holes it will become mathri instead of puri
