Hi Eddie. This is not ZANZIBAR MIX...This is Peas curry.Zanzibar mix is yellow in colour ,with small potato pieces, fried cassava strings, and small dal dumplings( bhajias). It tastes better with coconut chutney ,and red chilly chutney..Some add roasted peanuts in it while serving..It is slightly thick .No doubt Zanzibar mix is yummy anytime!!

I had a soup in Dar a few years back that I've been craving....and this MIGHT be it! The soup I had was thick and green....maybe had potato strings on top and was a little salty....that's really all I remember. It was a street vendor in the area near the main post office and the ferry. Any ideas what I ate? The man said it was 'Zanzibar Mix' and peas were all I remember him saying were in it.......which is strange, because I'm not a huge fan of peas....but that bowl of soup was delicious! Any help would be appreciated.
