Pomfret curry

spicy and sour fish curry

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings

    • 2 big size Pomfret
    • 3-4 red chilli
    • chilli-garlic paste
    • ½ cup onion (chopped)
    • ½ cup dhania (coriander seeds)
    • 1cup coconut grated
    • ½ tsp jeera
    • ½ tsp garam masala
    • kokam or 1 tbsp tamarind paste
    • oil
    • salt



    1. Cut the fish into small pieces.marinate it with chilli garlic paste.keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
    2. Make a fine paste of coconut, jeera,dhana and red chilli
    3. Heat a kadai, add oil in it then add onions. Fry it until it become golden brown then add marinated fish in it.
    4. Fry for 2 min, add coconut paste add water and kokam or tamarind paste. Cook for apprx 10 min. 
    5. serve hot with rice or bhakari.
