Hare Bagiche ka Upma

Its a semovita dish with all vegetables

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 3 onions
    • 1 tomato
    • 4 green chillies
    • 2 dry chillies (whole)
    • 200 g green peas
    • 100 g cabbage
    • 100 g cauliflower
    • 1 capsicum
    • 50 g groundnut
    • 15 nos Cashew nuts
    • 15 nos Almond
    • 15 nos Black dry grapes
    • Coriander leaves
    • 1 no potato (Big)
    • 250 g Semovita (sooji)
    • 3 tsp Cooking Oil (Groundnut Oil preferred)
    • Salt as per taste
    • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
    • 1 tsp Sugar

    Directions

    1. Heat a frying pan with 1 tsp oil and roast the semovita in it. Semovita shouldn't turn brown. It should soak the oil.
    2. Heat a big frying pan with 2 tsp of oil. Add the mustard seeds, groundnuts, cashewn uts, almond and dry grapes in it. Toss it up and add green chillies, dry chillies, capsicum along with onions.
    3. Add salt and sugar in the frying pan. When the onions are brown add all the vegetable in it. Toss the things properly.
    4. Add 3 glasses of water and leave for 15 minutes to boil.
    5. Check whether all the stuff is boiled properly. Reduce the flame.
    6. Add the roasted semovita (Sooji) in it and toss the ingredients together.
    7. When the semovita soaks all the water, mix it well so that it should not stick to the pan.
    8. Add coriander leaves for garnishing. 
    9. You are ready to eat. For additional toppings you can use tomato sauce and fried sev.
