Kalakand

Recipe by Saleem Ahmed of Karachi, PK

Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings


    • 4 tbsp Milk Powder
    • 1/2 Kg Cottage Cheese (Paneer)
    • 400 gm Condensed Milk (1 Tin)
    • 1 tsp Elaichi Powder
    • 2 tbsp Ghee or Cooking Oil 

    Directions

    1. First Crush the Cottage Cheese with Fork nicely.
    2. Mixed it in Milk Powder firmly.
    3. Put Condensed Milk Slowly Slowly and make a soft Paste.
    4. Take a very Thick bottom pan or cooking pot, put oil or Ghee and put Paste and Elaichi Powder.
    5. Cook it 10 to 12 minutes in medium heat (Keep stir with spoon).
    6. Put cooking oil in a try then spread Kalakand.
    7. Cut in square shape when it become cool. (Optional)

    Thank You Ameena....Yes..you can use Paneer which is easily available in a market...

    Dear Shikha...Thanks for your compliments...I advise you to use only Condensed Milk...I never try Plain milk and sugar...Condensed Milk have its own thickness ans taste which u cant find in plain milk with sugar....Thank you...

    Hi areen...take 2kg fresh milk then you can make 1/2 kg Paneer....

    Just a query, If I want 2 make 1/2 kg paneer (cottage cheese) then how much milk do I need to do so? can you please let me know. I really want to try it out as it seems a nice and simple recipe to me.Thank you.
