Dal and achar paste(pickle)

It will be really spicy for lovers of spicy food from andhrapradesh

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • 1 cup Red Gram (split)
  • 1 no. Onion
  • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds (black)
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 5 leaves Curry Leaf
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

4 to 6 tbsp of any achar paste (except lime achar) Cooking oil

Directions

  1. Pressure cook toor dal and mash well.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil and mustard seed, cuminseeds, curry leaves.
  3. Add finely chopped onions when the onions are half done,
    add daal paste along with any achar paste, keep stirring for a short while.
  4. Garnish with coriader leaves.
  5. Spicy dal is ready to eat. Goes well with plain rice and chapathis.
