Mixed vegetable balchao

its a vegetarian dry gravy

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    for  the balchao paste, grind together following ingredients into a paste

    • 10 whole dry red chillies
    • 2 tbsp ginger (chopped)
    • 5 garlic (chopped)
    • 5 cloves
    • 5 green cardamom
    • 2 sticks cinnamon
    • ½ tsp mustard seeds
    • 5 tbsp vinegar
    • 1 tsp sugar

    Main ingredients

    • Paneer
    • French beans cutted
    • 100 gms Mushrooms
    • 100 gms baby corn (slit)
    • 1 large onion (chopped)
    • 1 tomato (chopped)
    • 10 curry leaves
    • 6 tbsp oil
    • 1½ cup water
    • salt as per the taste

    Directions

    1. Boil  water in a pan, add the french beans & baby corns
    2. Remove from heat after 1 min and drain the water
    3. Dice mushrooms and cube the paneer
    4. Heat oil in a pan and saute chopped onion till golden brown
    5. Add tomatoes cook for 2 min. Mix the balchao paste in it along with salt cook for another 2 min
    6. Add water and let it simmer
    7. Add all veg and cook till done
    8. mix  paneer gently and cook for 2-3 minutes
    9. Season with curry leaves

    this dish sucks!!!. The proportion of each ingredient as given in the recipe is a mistake.
