Latajee, dont you think 3/4 cup of Anardana powder will be toooooooooooo much for just garam masala. Is this the recipe of garam masala or Khatti (sour) chutnery ????

To, Lata Anand of Santa Clara, US Madam, You have used non-quantitative volumetric measures for the ingredients, which are of widely differing shapes and sizes. This is too much of an approximation, as they say "Andaz Tappe". Therefore, the recipe is not at all meaningful in imparting a definite flavour status to the masala. Hence, whatever emerges out of the preparation effort will have to be accepted, hoping that it will not be so unbearably unacceptable that the expensive spices go a waste. Quantitative(weight) measures are a must for every specific product, particularly, a food item. Regards. Ramesh

What an interesting site! I found you while trying to learn the difference between garam masala and curry - are they interchangeable terms?
