Hi people out there who are asking for meaning of khoya is nothing but the dry milk powder what will be available in grocery stores i US and cottage cheese is nothing but paneer available in desi store.Hope this is heplful for the readers.Thanks.

hey,dairyman...wow.this is the first recipe ive come across on internet which is very original.i have to remark here,that this recipe is very close to JIGGS Kalra's recipe for gulab jamun....substitutions can be made for khoya,but with not so succesful results!!

I agree with some people that you should replace khoya with some other suitable inredients and i think you should replace to burfee becouse it's contain the similarity of khoya.

1) There is no mention on Khoya in the ingredients, but the preparation requires it. A substitute for Khoya would be useful. 2) How to know the right consistency for the syrup?
