Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings


    • pre boiled rice-500gm.
    • ghee-100ml.
    • refined oil-100ml.
    • ginger paste-1.5tsp.
    • garlic paste-1tsp.
    • green chillies-2nos.
    • onions-2nos.
    • cinnamon-2inch pieces-3.
    • cloves-4nos.
    • cardamam-3nos.
    • pudina-1/2 cup.
    • dur dal-75 to 100gm.
    • tureric powder-3 tsp.
    • salt&water-reqrd amt.

    Directions

    • put turmeric powder and salt into reqrd amt of water and keep aside.
    • boil tur dhal separetly.
    • put oil and ghee in a vessel and heat.
    • add cinnamon.cloves.cardamom to the above.
    • then add onions.ginger garlic paste one by one.cook till the raw smell goes off.
    • then add green chillies and pudina.suate for 2 mins.
    • add water mixed with t.powder.
    • add boiled dhal.
    • when it starts boiling,add rice.
    • cook till it done.
    • serve with mutton or chicken gravy.and also serve with 'egg omlet' kulambu(this is my recipe).
    • in this 'dal rice'recipe...you can replace water by coconut milk.
