Garlic chutney

this chutney goes well with idlis,dosas,chapatis and could be used as a filling for sand wiches too.it keeps good for 2 days.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 50 gms Garlic
    • a bunch of coriander leaves
    • 2 onions
    • 1 tsp pepper powder
    • 1 sour lime
    • 2 tbsp ghee
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Separate the garlic pods into flakes and remove the paperlike white skin from the flakes.
    2. Boil the garlic, mash into a paste with the reverse of a tablespoon.
    3. Wash and chop the coriander leaves fine.
    4. Grate the onions after removing the skin. fry onions in 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan, until they stick to the pan.
    5. Remove from the stove. To this add the garlic paste, chopped coriander, pepper powder, juice  of sour lime and salt to taste.
    6. mix well. Remove to a glass bowl for serving.

    Hi, Could u please give a receipe for the red dry chutney that is served with vada pau in mumbai which is also a lasuni (garlic) chutney. Thanks
