Kandola Fry

It is simple and tastes great.Try it out .

this is very quick and simple one , no much ingredients required. goes great as an accompaniment with rice and sambhar , dal etc..

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 6 kandolas
    • 1 tbsp red chill powder
    • 1/4 tbsp hing
    • salt to taste
    • 1/4 cup suji rava
    • oil for shallow frying

     

    Directions

    1. Wash the kandolas and trim the edges. cut  into 1/2 inc slices vertically and place it in a bowl.
    2. Add salt, hing, and red chilli powder and allow it to marinate for 1/2 hr.
    3. on hot tawa, put little oil, and roll out the slices in the rava and shallow fry it on both sides till done on a medium flame.
    4. serve hot with rice and sambhar .

    yes rabz! while v deep fry it v use rice flour. I avoid deep frying , hence do with suji.Next time, vl put rice flour with suji and vl c how it works while shallow frying.Thanx.Priyanka , Kandola is a vegetable which is green in colour,and it looks like small karela ( bitter gourd) . u can find the picture of the vegetable in the photo which i hav posted along with the receipe

    These r one of my fav. U can add haldi 2 it and We can also cover it in some rice flour batter and tat also makes it crisp.
