Peppery potato

a variation of potato for potato lovers

it is a very simple version of dum aloo with a little bit of twist.it is so light that you will feel to have it again and again.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 kg of small potatoes or medium potatoes(peeled )
    • 1 tbs of garlic-ginger paste
    • 1 tbs of whole spices like cardamom,clove,cinnamon etc
    • dry spices like red chilly,coriander and termuric 1/4 tsp each
    • 2-3 medium tomatoes
    • 1 tbs of freshly crushed pepper corns
    • salt according to taste
    • green coriander optional(chopped)
    • oil for deep frying 

    Directions

    1. peel and fry the potatoes
    2. heat 1 tbs of oil in a wok
    3. put whole spices in it
    4. put potatoes and all dry spices and saute for a while 
    5. put garlic-ginger paste and saute for 2 mnts
    6. add salt and little water and cover it
    7. for 3-4 mnts
    8. finally add in the crushed pepper and toss lightly
    9. garnish with green coriander and serve hot with chapatis or parathas

    Hi!! Good recipe but i think u forgot to mention when to add tomatoes.....I suppose they should be added in step 6 before addonng water.
