Salad with bread

Yummy, crunchy and can be eaten as a meal.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

Directions

  1. Cut slices of bread in square or diamond shapes
  2. Fry the bread crispy in a little oil. Spread them on kitchen paper to cool.
  3. Cut all other vegetables in cubes and toss them in a bowl
  4. Mix olive oil, lime juice, chat masala and salt to the vegetables and toss them again.
  5. Add fried bread to the salad and mix well just before serving. Do not add bread to the salad in advance as it will get soggy.

mixed comments from guests on this recipe - I think people who don't ike it, do'nt like the asafoetida commonly found in the chaat mix - others liked it alot, and very easy to prepare - can be made ahead as long as dressing isn't added so early soas to make the lettuce wilty
