Moong Dhal Tuna Salad

Sprouted moong dhaland tuna with herbs and spices

This salad serves a two-in- one purpose as a salad and as a sandwich filler. Very Tasty one to try.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 cup sprouted moong dhal (cleaned and soaked for 12 hours,then cooked with for 5 mins in microwave)
    • 1 tinned tuna fish (drain it, and add a teaspoon of good quality olive oil)
    • 1 tbsp shredded cottage cheese
    • 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
    • 2 tsp lemon juice
    • 2 tsp chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 tbsp chopped onions
    • 2 tsp chopped tomatoes
    • 2 tsp grated coconut
    • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
    • 1 no.green chilly chopped
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup chopped lettuce leaves
    • Slices of French bread-lightly toasted(if you want this as a sandwich filler)
    • 1 tsp olive oil

    Directions

    1. clean and soak 1/2 cup moong dhal for 12 hours,then cooked with for 5 mins in microwave.
    2. Drain 1 tinned tuna fish  and add a teaspoon of good quality olive oil.
    3. Mix all of the ingredients.
    4. Serve as a salad or as a filler in a regular sandwich(in toasted french bread-in that case it should not be too dry or wet) .

    sorry! Soak 1/2 cup moong dhal for 12 hours,then cook it with salt for 5 mins in microwave oven.
