Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 10 cms long plantain stem (vazhai thadu in tamil, antti pontha intelugu)
    • 1 cup curd
    • a pinch of asafoetida
    • salt to taste
    • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
    • 1/2 tsp ginger and green chillies (chopped finely)

    Directions

    1. Cut the stem into very small pieces ie finely chopped(while cutting you get fiber remove that by rolling in your index finger)
    2. Immediately put in a bowl of water and mix 2 tbsp of butter milk. This is to avoid colour change.
    3. When finished cutting take a bowl, add curd and salt to taste, pinch of asafoetida powder ,and other ingredients mix well.
    4. Now squeeze and take the stem from bowl of water and add to the curd mixer.
    5. Mix it again.
    6. Salad is ready
    NOTE: we can add vegetables like carrot, olive, etc to our taste to it.
