home made ready mix powder for rava laddu

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings



    • 1 cup roasted rava(soji)
    • 1 cup washed, drained and dried Raw Rice
    • 1 cup roasted yellow mung dal
    • 3 cup sugar
    • cardamom (to taste)
    • 4 tbsp Ghee
    • grated cashews

    Directions

    1. Take first four dry ingredients and grind it into a fine powder in a mixie. A large coffee grinder can also work
    2. Store the mix for upto six months in cool and airtight containers. You can prepare laddu whenever you want.
    To make laddus:
    1. Take one cup of the above mix
    2. Take a thick bottomed pan and heat ghee. Add cashews and then the above mix. Stir it till the ghee mixes well with the mix
    3. turn off the heat and make laddus with your hands when the mix is okay to touch.
    4. While making laddus, if the mix gets cool and brittle, you can heat it again or keep in a microwave oven to make it hot.
