Beetroot Raita

Beet root in yoghurt

This is an easy to prepare and a nutritious recipe. You can eat it as a side dish with rice or hot chappatis.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • 2 nos. Beetroot, boiled
  • 1 no. Potato, boiled
  • 1½ cups Yoghurt
  • 2 nos. Green Chilies
  • 2 tsps. Vegetable Oil
  • ¼ tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 3 leaves Curry Leaf
  • ½ tbsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Peel the boiled beetroots and potatoes. Cut into small cubes.
  2. Add yoghurt into it.
  3. Heat oil, add seasme seeds, when they crackle add chilli pieces and curry leaves.
  4. Pour this sesoning over the yoghurt and beet root mixture.
  5. Add sugar and salt.
  6. Serve it with rice and dal or with just hot chappatis.

if you add some fresh coriander leaves it will add a very delicious flavour
