Chatpata Aloo

Recipe by Khushboo Barmeda of Dar es Salaam, TZ

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 6 Boiled potatoes.
    • 1 green chilli - chopped
    • 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
    • 3 tsp coriander finely chopped
    • 2 tsp garlic  - crushed
    • 3 tsp tomato puree
    • 1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 cup water.
    • 3 tbsp oil

    Directions

    1. Peel off the skin and Cut the boiled potatoes into small cubes.
    2. in a bowl, mix tomato puree, garlic, salt, red chilli powder, coriander, lemon, green chilli and a bit of water.
    3. in a pan, put oil on a flame and then add (2) tomato puree paste. stir well.
    4. now add boiled potatoes and mix well.
    5. add water and let it cook until the gravy becomes thick.

     Serve hot with fried peanuts.
