Your children will love it .

  • 1 kg milk
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • 2 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • nuts ( almonds - pistachios )
  • 2 1/2 tbsp butter

  1. Boil the milk so that it becomes half the original quantity .Now keep the milk aside off the flame .
  2. Beat the eggs and sugar together with a beater so that it becomes creamy .
  3. Add baking powder to the eggs .
  4. Put the milk again on flame and add the eggs mixture to it slowly and gradually stirring continuously ,so that no lumps are formed .Add ghee to it .
  5. The mixture should not stick to the pan so you must keep stirring .
  6. Now when the ghee is settled down then add butter to it and keep stirring .
  7. When  the oil separates from the edges and the colour becomes golden brown the halwa is ready .
  8. Take it out on a slightly greased tray and sprinkle grounded nuts .

Hi tasnim, this recipe is good but only if we are making in small amount. But if we are preparing for some guests we should use mava also,as it increase the quantity & gives great taste, also it makes the halwa more soft.regds
