Bihari Kabab

This is a fantestic recipe usually make on eid.

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 kg beef (undercut)
    • 2 onions
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 2 tbsp papaya paste
    • 1 cup yogurt
    • 8 almonds
    • 2 tbsp peeled and roasted bengal gram
    • 1 tsp white cumin seeds
    • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
    • 8 green cardamoms
    • 6 black cardamoms
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
    • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
    • salt to taste
    • 4 tbsp olive oil
    • 1/2 cup mustard oil

    Directions

    1. Cut meat into long strips and hummer the pieces to make them flat.
    2. Roast poppy seeds, Bengal gram,cumin seeds,both cardamoms,black pepper and almonds on a tawwa and then grind them into a paste.
    3. Heat mustard oil in a pot and fry sliced onions till they turn golden.Take them out on paper towel and crush them with your hands and keep aside the used oil.
    4. Mix papaya paste, salt, yogurt, ground masala, onions, ginger, red chilli powder and olive oil in the meat.Set aside for 3 hours.
    5. Fold the meat strips into rolls.Heat the used mustard oil in a frying pan.
    6. Arrange the rolls one by one neatly in the pan.
    7. Spread the remaining masala over them and with the help of spoon,press them down.
    8. When they are fried one side,turn them over.Sprinkle a little oil on top and cover with a lid.If u want you can smoke them by pouring oil over the hot coals placed on a chapati or foil.
    9. Delicious bihari kababs are ready to be served with chutney and and parathas or puris.

    Walaikum as salaam rabz, as far as i concern i only add jayful jawatri in kormas but next time i will add these ingrediants in bihari kababs and then tell u that it is better without it or with it. thx and tc
