Oregano chicken

lack of time made me make this dish which goes very well with garlic bread,baked macaroni etc.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 750 gms chicken (cut into 8-9 pieces)
    • salt as per taste
    • 1 tbsp black pepper coarsely ground
    • 2½ tsp Oregano (coarse powder)
    • 2 tsp lime juice/white vinegar
    • 4-5 tbsp refined oil
    • 1 tsp Ajinomoto

    Directions

    1. Oregano is generally available in international grocery outlets as dry powder or leaves. You can use powder for this recipe.
    2. Mix all the ingrediates except oil and keep aside for an hour.
    3. Heat oil in a karahi and put the marinated chicken.
    4. Lower the flame, cover and cook till the chicken pieces are cooked and turn light reddish in colour.
    5. Serve hot.
    6. It goes well with garlic bread & baked vegetatables.

    Very Good! I tried this recipe and it turned out good. The only changes I would like to recommend is to lower the quantity of black pepper to 1 tsp. and lower the quantity of oil to 2 tbsps. I made it according to the recipe and the chicken was too oily maybe because of the Ajinomoto(MSG). I will definitely make this dish again. Thank you!
