Prawn Chilli Fry

A quick and easy, tangy and spicy recipe that you and your family will enjoy.I've made it and all my guests have enjoyed it and have taken the recipe from me.Therefore I'm sharing it with all of you. Hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings


    • 250 gms Prawns
    • 2 Onions
    • 3 Green chillies
    • 1 inch Ginger
    • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
    • Roasted coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp Pepper
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 tbsp Tamarind pulp
    • 2 tbsp Oil

    Directions

    1. Shell, de-vein and wash prawns.
    2. Chop onions, green chillies, ginger, Pound pepper coarsely and soak tamarind in 3 tbsp of hot water to make pulp.
    3. Heat oil, add onion, fry till light brown colour.
    4. Add red chilli powder, turmeric and corriander powder, Stir for 5 seconds.
    5. Add green chiilies, ginger and black pepper.
    6. Stir well, then add prawns and cook on medium heat till cooked and dry.
    7. Adjust seasoning

    tasty recipie pl advise when to add tamarind pulp and what is the seasoning and quantity of corriander powder

    Hi Shilpa, I want to try your recipe but is it an appetizer or main course. Also, if a main caourse serving with rice/roti is better?

    hi shilpa, am afraid you have missed out adding tamarind pulp. whn did you add it???

    hai,shilpa,ur recipe sounds good but u did not mention when to add tamirind pulp n is that oil enough to cook the prawns. Thank u for the recipe.
