Healthier version of Jhalde

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings


    • 2 pcs illish, fresh (Hilsa)
    • 1 tsp yellow mustard
    • 2 tsp poppy seed
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seed
    • 1 tsp chopped garlic
    • 1 medium sized onion chopped
    • 1tsp chopped green chillies
    • 2 medium sized tomatoes chopped
    • 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
    • 1 tsp mustard oil
    • 1 tsp turmeric
    • 1 cup water
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    • Clean the fish and rub some salt and turmeric to it.
    • Make a fine paste of mustard seeds,poppy seeds and cumin seeds.
    • In a microwave safe bowl,mix together the prepared paste along with all the other ingredients.
    • Microwave high for 8 to 10 minutes.
    • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
    • Serve hot with rice.

    Very yummy dish.I tried this at home and found it very healthy.We would like to have more such recipes.
