Jhat putt pressure chicken curry

I was short on time and had to make some thing quick for my mum in law . Experimented on the masala with extra coriander tis time and everyone loved the new taste & fragrance.Hope it is 2 ur taste 2 just give it a try & find out.

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 1/2 washed chicken (chicken should be cut in2 8 pieces).
    • 1/4 c oil
    • 1 tbsp ginger /garlic paste
    • 2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp salt or adjust 2 your taste.
    • 3 whole chilli & 2 1/2 tbsp coriander seeds, pounded (kuta howa).
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • 2 " ginger cut into thin strips (like 4 Nihari)
    • 1 can tomato pulp
    • 1/4 c curd
    • 4 tbsp water
    • 4 green chilli chopped in2 thick pieces.
    • 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped.

    Directions

    1. In a pressure cooker heat the oil , add ginger/garlic paste and a tsp pounded red chilli & coriander powder, coriander powder, red chilli & garam masal powder.
    2. Add in the chicken & toss fry for 3 min to allow the chicken 2 change colour.
    3. Blend te curd with pulp & water and pour this over the chicken.
    4. Toss 4 two min , cover the lid and allow it to cook in pressure for exact 8 min.
    5. Remove from heat, take out the pressure & bring it back over heat once again.
    6. Add the remaining pounded red chilli & coriander powder. Cook over high  heat for 5 min then lower the heat & add the green chilli and ginger , allow oil 2 float over a thick curry.
    7. Remove from heat, bring out in a dish & garnish with green.
    8. Serve hot with Naans.

    thanx rabz very much for this recipe, but one thing i would like to share is that curd and tomato should never be cooked together. cook the chicken with curd for 5 mins before adding tomatoes...this tip was given on TV by a famous Chef.
