Batatya chi suki Bhaaji

Ingredients


 

  • 3 big Potatoes, boiled
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard or Cumin Seeds
  • Few Curry leaves
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 3-4 Green Chillies, chopped
  • 1 tspn ginger & garlic finely chopped
  • 1-2 tsp Sugar powdered
  • 4-5 strands of Coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 lemon

Directions

  1. Dice the boiled potatoes
  2. Sprinkle turmeric, sugar, lemon drops and salt (as required) over the potatoes and mix well so that the potato cubes are coated with sugar and salt. Leave aside for 5 mins
  3. Heat oil in a Kadai. Add curry leaves and mustard seeds
  4. When the mustard seeds start spluttering, add chopped chillies, chopped onion stir for 2 mins.
  5. When onion becomes pinkish add ginger & garlic. Stir for 2 mins. Now add the potatoes and mix well.
  6. Cover and cook for 5-10 mins. Keep stirring at intervals
  7. Garnish with coriander and serve with puris/chapattis

Hi Shruti, I like the variation of adding onion and ginger garlic b-cuz we never used to make it with those Ingredients. but will definetely try it. thanks.
