Walnut Souffle

(A cool refreshing dessert in hot summer)

Ingredients non vegetarian 1 servings


    ¼ litre fresh cream 1 ½ cup walnuts(set aside ½ cup) 1 glass milk 2 tablespoons cornflour 2 egg yolks 2 tsp unflavored gelatin sugar to taste( separate in to two equal parts)

    Directions

    1. Mix egg yolks, milk and half the sugar.
    2. Cook on a low flame until it thickens. Remove and cool.
    3. Dissolve gelatin in a little water and add to the mixture.
    4. When the mixture is cool, add cream to it. Whisk until it is soft and fluffy. Add a little more milk if required.
    5. Add ½ cup walnuts. Mix with a spoon and put the mixture in a serving bowl. Brown the other half sugar on a skilt.
    6. Add the walnuts to it and brown a little more. Grind the sugar walnuts and sprinkle on the mixture.
    7. Place refrigerator to set. Serve cold.

    What is skilt and how do you brown the sugar ? What abt the cornflour, where do we use that ?
