Gooseberry Pickle

Pickle made with blanched Gooseberries

Gooseberry is good for general health. Try this pickle at home.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 30 Gooseberries -Boiled for 2 mins and blanched
    • 1 inch Ginger - chopped fine
    • 2 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds(powdered)
    • 1 tsp Asafoetida powder
    • 1 tsp Mustard seeds(powdered)
    • 2 tsp Salt
    • 2 tbsp Lemon juice or vinegar
    • 1 tbsp gingely oil
    • few curry leaves(optional)

    Directions

    1. Boil the gooseberries in water and remove the seeds and chop fine.
    2. Mix salt with chopped gooseberries and ginger and leave it for 2 hours.
    3. Then mix all the other ingredients with this and microwave this for 2 mins on high.That's all!.
