Crispy Murmura(Kara pori)

Instead of red chilli powder can add pepper powder.Please add or reduce quantity of nuts according to ur taste.aroma of coconut oil,garlic,redchilli and kurmura blended together tastes delicious.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cups Kurmura bangali
    • 1/2 cup peanuts(skin removed)
    • 1/2 cup Daliya(putana/pottukadalai)
    • 1/4 tsp haldi
    • 11/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp hing
    • 1 sprig kadipatha
    • 4-5cloves garlic
    • salt,to taste
    • 2 tsp coconut oil

    Directions

    1. Dry-Roast peanuts and putana separately till its crispy..
    2. Heat oil in a kadai,then add garlic,haldi,kadipatha,hing.after garlic turns golden brown add kurmara, red chilli powder and roast till it becomes crispy.Then add the separately roasted peanuts, daliya and salt.Roast in medium flame and switch off.
    3. Allow it to cool for sometime.Store in airtight container.
    4. This is a very good snack.

    Type 2:finely chopped: 1 onion, 1 tomato, 1 capsicum, 1 carrot, 1/4 tsp garam masala,1/4 tsp red chilli powder,cilantro 1 tsp just take this prepared kurmura  in a plate,top it with vegetables, garam masala, salt, red chilli powder,cilantro.just mix with the spoon and eat. tasty and healthy and this we can eat when craving for crunchies.

    Note:U can use directly roasted peanuts too.putana can be directly added to kurmura if its already crispy.
