Beans molagootal

sometimes i use green chillis and moong dal.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 2 cups Beans Chopped
    • ½ cup coconut grated
    • 1 tsp jeera
    • 1/4 tsp haldi
    • ½ tsp hing
    • 2 red chilli
    • 1/2 tsp raw rice
    • salt,to taste
    • 1 cup water
    • ½ cup tuvar dal
    • Tempering:1 tsp coconut oil,1/2 tsp mustard,urad dal,4-5 Curry leaves


    1. Wash beans and chop it finely.Steam
    2. Grind jeera,red chilli,coconut and rice into a smooth paste.
    3. Heat oil in a pressure pan and splutter mustard,then urad dal,curry leaves and hing.
    4. Add tuvar dal and roast for 2 minutes and then add haldi,beans,grounded paste,water and salt.
    5. Close the cook and give 3 whistles.
    6. Beans molagootal is ready.

    Type 2:

    1. Steam beans seperately in a pan and sprinkle haldi in it.or cook in microwave.
    2. In a kadai add grounded paste,beans and water and cook till it boils.Add cooked tuvar dal and salt.
    3. Then at last add the tempered ingredients.Mix well.
    4. Beans Molagootal is ready.
