Easy Palak Fry

Chopped spinachshallow-fried with spices in oil

Palak pieces fried with spices.can be done in 6 mins.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cups chopped palak(spinach)
    • 1 tbsp refined oil
    • 1 tsp ghee
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper powder
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • few crushed cashews
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt to taste
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup grated coconut(optional)

    Directions

    1. Wash palak leaves and chop them.mix them with spices except oil,grated coconut and water.
    2. Heat oil and ghee and shallow fry the chopped spinach for a min.
    3. Add 1/2 cup water and saute them till water runs dry.
    4. Add grated coconut  and mix them well.
    5. Serve it hot with rice ,sambar or yoghurt.
