Apple-Orange Onion Salad

A healthy mix of Fruits and Vegetables

This salad is a healthy and delicious mixture of Fruits and vegetable with little masala(mix of Apple,Orange,Dates and Cucumber with finely-chopped onions).This can be given as a starter or as a fruit salad after a filling-meal.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 cup finely chopped Apple(peeled)
    • 1/2 cup chopped orange rinds(peeled)
    • 1/2 cup finely chopped cucumber(peeled and seeds removed)
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
    • 1/4 cup or 2 tbsp finely chopped dates
    • 1/4 cup grated coconut
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 2 tsp sugar
    • 2 tsp mayonnaise or salad dressing
    • 2 tsp fresh cream or yoghurt

    Directions

    1. Put the chopped apple pieces in little water and keep aside.
    2. Take a salad bowl.Mix all the ingredients one-by-one except lemon juice and Apple pieces.
    3. Refrigerate for 20 mins and add the apple pieces and sprinkle lemon juice on top .
    4. Mix well before serving. This can also be used as a fruit base for Ice-cream(but without cucumber,onion and lemon juice).
    5. That's all.Enjoy this colourful and healthy Salad!.
